UNIBEN update on bed space allocation (2nd batch) for 2025/2026 session

​The University of Benin (UNIBEN), Benin City, Nigeria, through the Office of the Dean of Students, wishes to inform all interested students about the commencement of the Second Batch allocation of bed spaces for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

The "Fastest Finger" portal for bed space applications will be activated TODAY, Wednesday, 10th December, 2025, at 5:00 PM (Nigerian Time).

Interested students are strongly advised to take note of this exact time and ensure they are prepared to apply promptly.

Any bed space successfully allocated to a student must be cleared within two days from the time of allocation.

Failure to clear the allocated bed space within this two-day window will result in the retrieval of the space by the University.

​Hostel Regulations and Sanctions

​Students are reminded to strictly adhere to all University hostel regulations. The following items are strictly prohibited within the University hostels:

​Hot plates

​Microwaves

​Washing machines

​Electric kettles

​Gas cookers

​Other similar cooking/heating appliances

​Sanction for Violation: Note that rustication or expulsion from the University is the penalty for violating the prohibition against bringing these items into the hostel.
