UNICAL announces final deadline for course registration, 2025/2026

The University of Calabar (UNICAL) management has issued a final notice regarding the closure of the student registration portal for the 2025/2026 academic session.

​Following successful appeals from the Students’ Union Government (SUG) and various university stakeholders, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Ekaette Enang, has approved a final extension to allow remaining students to complete their registration process.

​Key Deadlines and Dates

​Portal Closure: The registration portal will officially close at 12:00 midnight on Sunday, 1st February 2026.

​General Examinations: Exams for most levels are scheduled to begin on Monday, 16th February 2026.

​100 Level & GSS Exams: Dates for GSS and 100-level examinations will be announced at a later time.

​Important Instructions for Students

​All students who are yet to register their courses are strongly advised to utilize this window. This is a final extension, and no further grace period is expected once the deadline passes.

​Failure to register before the Sunday midnight deadline may result in students being unable to sit for the upcoming examinations.
