UNICAL Appoints New VC

The Governing Council of the University of Calabar has appointed Prof. Zana Akpagu as the new Vice Chancellor of the University.

Before his appointment, he was the deputy vice-chancellor, administration.

He was selected out of the eight candidates, who were duly screened and participated in the interview selection exercise, which has been described as one of the fairest since the inception of the institution.

He will take over from Prof. James Epoke, whose tenure ends on November 30, 2015.
