UNICAL issues security advisory over an imminent terror attack

The management of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has issued a security advisory to students and the entire university community over an imminent terror attack on the school.

This was contained in a memo signed by the institution's Registrar, Gabriel Egbe. It stated that an intelligence report gathered, indicates that there would be heightened cult activities and kidnapping within and around the University of Calabar environment by suspected militants through the waterways and adjoining creeks.

The suspected attacks are targeted at resident lecturers and identified students in the university.
