UNILAG update on Course Registration and Fee Payment

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has released an important update to guide students experiencing difficulties with fee generation and course registration on the student portal.

According to the university, the course registration platform has been configured based on programme type—Science or Non-Science—and category of student, which may be Fresher, Returning, or Graduating Student. These factors determine each student’s applicable fee structure.

UNILAG emphasized that several charges are compulsory and must be fully paid before registration can be completed. These include:

Utility fees

Departmental dues

Faculty dues

Convocation fees (for graduating students only)

In addition, students are required to pay at least 50% of their Obligatory Fees to finalize their registration. The university also noted that field trip fees, where applicable, are displayed on the portal for payment.

For students encountering issues, the following steps are recommended:

2. Refresh Payment Status

3. Generate Fees

4. View Pay Advice

5. Proceed to payment
