UNILAG extends deadline for accommodation balloting, 2025/2026

his is to inform all students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) that application for accommodation in the University’s halls of residence for the 2025/2026 Academic Session has been extended by one week. This means that application will now close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Thereafter, the balloting exercise for hostel allocation will hold on Friday, November 28, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:
200 to 500 level students who have completed course registration for 1st Semester, 2025/2026 academic session, and are within the regular duration for their respective programmes are eligible to apply for bed spaces.

Application Process:
Eligible 200 to 500 Level students must apply through their portals for hostel accommodation during the designated application window, after completing their respective course registration.

Allocation Criteria:
After the application window closes, bed spaces will be allocated randomly via a balloting system amongst all eligible applicants.

Important Dates to Remember:
• Application End Date: 11:59 p.m., Thursday, November 27, 2025
• Balloting Date: Friday, November 28, 2025
• Movement into Halls of Residence: Wednesday, December 3, 2025

All interested and eligible 200 to 500 LEVEL STUDENTS are enjoined to note these guidelines and comply within the specified timeline.

PLEASE NOTE THAT:

• Students in El-Kannemi Hall 2; Gbajabiamila; UNILAG Women Society (ULWS); and other hostels in this category around campus are not eligible to participate in the balloting exercise.
• The Student Affairs Division has the list of students living in these hostels, and any student who violates this directive will face the Students’ Disciplinary Board for social misconduct.
