UNILORIN SUG calls on students to Join Global Chemistry Competition
The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has urged its students, particularly those in science-related disciplines, to participate in the 2026 International Chemistry Competition (IChC), a global academic contest designed to showcase creativity and analytical skills in Chemistry.
In a press release issued on 24th February 2026 by the institution's executive leadership, students were encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to compete on the international stage and represent the "Better by Far University" with distinction.
The competition is structured in three stages: a Qualification Round featuring interactive chemistry problems, followed by research-based Semi-Finals, and a comprehensive Final examination. Organisers say the programme is open to both high school and college students worldwide.
All participants will receive certificates, while top performers stand a chance to win international and national awards valued at over $1,500 USD.
Interested students are advised to visit the official competition website at https://intchc.org/ for details, including the poster and flyer. The submission deadline for entries is Sunday, 29th March 2026.
To ensure proper guidance and coordination, a WhatsApp group has also been created for interested applicants. The link was provided in the release signed by Adelu Idris Ayomo, Executive President, and Adam Mozeed, Public Relations Officer.
The university encouraged all qualified students to seize the moment and make the institution proud on the global stage.
