UNIMAID SUG issues notice on 2026 Inter-Faculty competitions

The Office of the Minister for Academic Advancement and Opportunities, under the leadership of the Student Union Government (SUG), University of Maiduguri, hereby notifies all Faculty Presidents of the forthcoming 2026 Inter-Faculty Competitions. The initiative is aimed at promoting academic excellence, leadership development, intellectual engagement, and healthy interaction among students across the University.

​The program shall hold as a two-day event comprising:

​DAY ONE:

​Conference on the theme: "Sustainable Human Capital Development of Youths in Nigeria"

​Networking and mentorship sessions in:

​Technology

​Graphics and Creative Design

​Entrepreneurship

​Leadership

​Professional Development

​DAY TWO:

Inter-Faculty Competitions in:

​Quiz Competition

​Parliamentary Debate

​Public Speaking (PowerPoint Presentation)

​Faculty Presidents are kindly requested to ensure timely nomination and coordination of participants for the various competitions. Detailed guidelines for each category shall be communicated separately through official correspondence. The Ministry appreciates your cooperation and support towards the success of this initiative.
