UNIMAID SUG announces free Glo e-SIM registration for students

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the University of Maiduguri has announced a free E-SIM registration exercise in collaboration with Glo Nigeria. The initiative is set to begin tomorrow, January 28, from 11:00am to 4:00pm.

The registration will take place at three designated venues across the campus:

· Yellow LT Area

· Science Complex

· Faculty of Education

To participate, students must bring their National Identification Number (NIN) and a mobile phone that is E-SIM compatible.

The SUG highlighted several benefits of switching to an E-SIM, including enhanced security, the convenience of not needing a physical SIM card, easier network switching, space efficiency, and the ability to support multiple numbers on a single device.

This initiative aims to provide students with improved network services and support for data-related issues.

The SUG encourages all interested students to attend early and maintain order throughout the registration process.

The announcement was signed by the Students’ Union Government of the University of Maiduguri for the 2025/2026 academic session.
