UNIOSUN announces 7th Scholarship Scheme for Indigents but Diligent Students
The UNIOSUN Staff Volunteer Schemme, in its bid to contribute to community and humanitarian service and reduce students' drop-out rates, is pleased to announce the commencement of the 7th Scholarship Scheme for Indigent but Diligent Students, and to invite qualified students to collect application forms for consideration for an award.
The objective of the scheme is to identify academically sound indigent undergraduate students of the university who have finance-related challenges in persuing their studies and to render financial assistance to such students according to the seriousness of their needs without discrimination as a result of tribe, ethnicity or creed. The exercise will be transparent.
Eligibility
(a) Applicant must be an indigent and an undergraduate student of UNIOSUN;
(b) Must have a minimum cumulative grade points average of 2.50
(c) Must be in 200 level of above;
(d) Must not be on any scholarship;
(e) Must not be members of staff or children of members of staff of the University; and
(f) Beneficiaries of NELFUND are not eligible.
COLLECTION AND SUBMISSION OF FORMS
Interested and qualified students are advised to collect forms, WHICH ARE FREE, from their Departments, Faculties and College Offices from Friday, February 13, 2026. Forms must, however, be submitted to the Provost's Office on or before Monday, February 16, 2026. A copy of the form is hereby attached.
