UNIOSUN student allegedly shot and set ablaze for refusing to join a cult

One Victor Oke, a final year student of Osun State University, Department of Political Science was allegedly shot, hacked with matches, and set ablaze by suspected cultists for refusing to join a cult group.

The University's Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji, who confirmed the incident in a statement issued on Monday, December 13, said the deceased student was declared missing when he didn't show up for his final exam paper, and it was later discovered that he was attacked by unknown cultists in the early hours of Saturday.

It was gathered that Victor had refused to join a cult group and this prompted the assailants to hit him repeatedly with cutlasses, hard stones and partially burn him before he was eventually rescued.
