Uniport Students Cry Out As Armed Men Take Over Varsity

Students of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) have expressed concern over the presence of armed military men in their institution.

According to some of the students, the military personnel were allegedly deployed by the Vice Chancellor of the institution due to a planned protest march being organised by the students.

They complained that since this week, armed personnel have been patrolling the academic campus and it was hell this morning when some gates leading to the institution campus at Choba was locked and people were made to pass through security checks to their various destinations on campus.
