UNIUYO announces 25th Physicians Oath-Taking Ceremony

The Management of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), through the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, has officially announced the 25th Physician’s Oath-Taking ceremony for the medical graduands of the College of Health Sciences.

The ceremony, also known as Sponsio Academica, follows the formal approval by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). This ritual marks a pivotal transition for medical graduands as they begin their professional journey, pledging to uphold medical ethics, integrity, and the highest standards of patient care in accordance with Nigerian medical regulations.

The Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof. Dianabasi U. Eduwem, has confirmed the following details for the event:

• Venue: 1000-Seater TETFund Auditorium, Main Campus, Nwaniba Road, Uyo
