UNIUYO SUG notice Christmas and New Year Break for Students

The Students’ Union Government of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), through its Directorate of Information and Public Relations, has announced the approved Christmas and New Year break for students of the institution.

According to a press release issued by the Directorate, all academic and administrative activities in the University will close by 12 noon on Wednesday, 24 December 2025.

The statement further disclosed that the University will observe the Christmas public holidays on Thursday, 25 December and Friday, 26 December 2025. Normal academic activities are scheduled to resume on Monday, 29 December 2025.

In addition, the New Year public holiday will be observed on Thursday, 1 January 2026, while normal academic and administrative activities will resume on Friday, 2 January 2026.

Students of the University are advised to take note of the approved dates and plan accordingly.
