UNIUYO SUG notice on exam participation for students awaiting NELFUND loans

The Students' Union of the University of Uyo has announced that students awaiting the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 Academic Session will be allowed to write their first semester examinations.

In a press release issued on February 26, 2026, the Director of Information & Public Relations, Godwin Patrick, disclosed that the approval was granted by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Odewumi. This followed a meeting with the Dean of Students, the NELFUND Desk Officer, union executives, class representatives, and information directors.

According to the statement, all affected students are permitted to participate in the exams, which are scheduled to commence on Monday, March 2, 2026. The directive applies to all students who have applied for the loan and are currently awaiting disbursement.

The union urged affected students to proceed with their examinations as scheduled, noting that this memo serves as official communication for their information and necessary action.
