UNIUYO SUG issues new guidelines for use of sports facilities

The Students’ Union of the University of Uyo has released an important notice to all students, teams, and groups regarding the use of the institution’s sports facilities. According to the announcement issued by the Students’ Union Director of Sports, Abasifreke Job, students intending to access facilities such as the football fields, volleyball court, basketball court, tennis court, indoor games area, and other related spaces are required to undergo proper documentation.

The directive aims to ensure fair usage, proper scheduling, and effective maintenance of the university’s sporting equipment and facilities. The Students’ Union emphasized that the new process is essential for keeping the facilities in good condition and ensuring they remain accessible and beneficial to all sports-inclined students.

Abasifreke Job noted that cooperation from the student body will help sustain a vibrant sports culture on campus, enabling the nurturing of talent while preventing congestion and unnecessary damage to facilities.
