UNICAL notice on supplementary exams for 1st semester, 2025/2026

The Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Calabar has called for applications for supplementary examinations for the First Semester of the 2025/2026 academic session and the Second Semester of the 2024/2025 session (Stream B).

According to a memo dated April 16, 2026, the supplementary examinations are scheduled to commence on May 11, 2026. Eligible students are required to submit their applications to the DVC (Academic) on or before April 30, 2026.

The university outlined specific criteria for eligibility. Students may apply if they experienced ill health during the examination period, provided they present a medical report endorsed by the Director of Health Services. Those who represented the institution at official events during exams are also considered. Additionally, cases involving the death of a first-degree family member qualify, as well as students who can provide evidence of proper course registration for the session.

The memo, signed by DVC (Academic) Ekaette Enang, urged faculties and departments to ensure wide circulation of the information across student platforms and notice boards.

University authorities emphasized adherence to the stated deadlines and requirements to avoid disqualification.
