UNICROSS announces SIWES orientation dates, 2026

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), Prof. Francisca Bassey, has approved the schedule for the 2026 Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) Orientation. The exercise is set to take place across the university's three campuses to prepare students for their upcoming Industrial Training (IT).

Calabar Campus

Date: 20th April, 2026
Time: 10:00 am prompt
Venue: New Café

Ogoja Campus

Date: 23rd April, 2026
Time: 10:00 am prompt
Venue: Any suitable hall

Okuku Campus

Date: 23rd April, 2026
Time: 2:00 pm prompt
Venue: Any suitable hall

The University management emphasizes that this exercise is compulsory for all students embarking on Industrial Training in 2026. Attendance will be strictly monitored by officials from the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Calabar Zone, and must align with the lists provided by departmental coordinators.

SIWES Coordinators are further instructed to:

• Ensure the presence of all their IT students.
• Present a definitive list of students participating in the 2026 IT session.
