University of Delta, Agbot announces maiden convocation ceremony

The management of the University of Delta, Agbor, has announced Saturday, 21st February 2026, as the date for its maiden convocation ceremony.

According to a circular issued by the Registrar, Richmond Omagbemi (Esq), the grand finale of the ceremony will commence with an academic procession at 9:00 a.m. All members of the University Council, Senate and Congregation are required to participate in the procession, fully dressed in approved academic gowns.

The notice further directed faculty officers to collect academic gowns for graduating students of their respective faculties from the Central Stores on Wednesday, 19th February 2026, by 12 noon. Faculty officers are also expected to ensure that students maintain good conduct throughout the ceremony.

The university warned that any form of misconduct capable of bringing the institution’s name into disrepute would attract stiff penalties in line with the university’s rules and regulations.

The management wished members of the university community a successful and happy convocation ceremony.
