UNIUYO Students Union Announces Dedicated Channels for NELFund Beneficiaries
In a move to enhance communication and support for students under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund), the Students Union of the University of Uyo has established a dedicated WhatsApp group for beneficiaries.
The platform is designed to address key concerns related to loan disbursement, course registration, and refund processes. According to a memo issued by the union, the initiative aims to provide timely updates, guidance, and a structured forum for students to seek clarifications.
In addition to the WhatsApp group, the union plans to schedule a Google Meet group call to offer detailed explanations and answer questions directly from students.
The Director of Information & Public Relations, Godwin Patrick, urged all affected students to join the group promptly using the link provided in the official notice. He also assured that if the first group reaches maximum capacity, additional links will be shared to accommodate more beneficiaries.
Students are encouraged to remain active within the group to ensure they do not miss critical updates regarding their loans and academic processes.
This step is expected to streamline communication between NELFund beneficiaries and the universityβs student leadership, reducing delays and confusion in loan-related procedures.
