Applications are invited from qualified candidates, particularly Practising Journalists without any qualification in Journalism or Mass Communication for admission into the Professional Diploma in Journalism (PDJ) Programme offered by the Department of Mass Communication, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

The programme is aimed at equipping journalists, especially those who have practised the profession for seven years without any formal qualification in Journalism or Mass Communication, with the theoretical knowledge to remedy their deficiency.

UNIZIK Β Professional Diploma in Journalism Entry Qualification, Duration

  • Entry Qualification: At least five O’ Level credits obtained in not more than two sittings, including English Language.
  • Duration:Β  The (PDJ) is a part-time programme that is expected to run for a minimum of three semesters of 18 calendar months.

How to Apply for UNIZIK Professional Diploma in Journalism Programme Admission Form

The PDJ is a part-time programme in which practising Journalists will attend lectures two to three days a week between 2.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. to give them the freedom to attend to their daily professional assignments in the morning hours.
