UNN Position on the N10,000 Cheque Presented to the Best Graduating Student

University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN position on the N10,000 cheque presented to the best graduating students.

The picture and the award it depicts, which has been trending in the social media, has nothing to do with the University of Nigeria as an institution.

This is a case of members of students’ association honouring one of their own with the token they could afford. The name of the association – University of Nigeria Medical Students Association – is written on the dummy cheque.

The University of Nigeria has a tradition of rewarding its best graduating students at the Award and Prize Night usually held at the eve of its convocations.
