UNN SUG kicks against Hike in services on Campus

The Student Union Government wishes to bring to the attention of all relevant authorities and service providers within the university community that students are already facing considerable financial pressures. In light of this, the Union strongly kicks against any proposed or sudden increase in the cost of transport, water supply, or any other essential services operating within the campus environment.

It has come to our notice that there are speculations and concerns among students regarding possible hikes in these charges. Such increases, if implemented, would place an additional burden on the student body and may lead to avoidable tensions within the campus community.

The Union therefore advises that all transport operators, water suppliers, and other service providers maintain the current approved rates. Any unilateral adjustment in prices without proper consultation with the appropriate university authorities and the Student Union Government will be viewed as a violation of existing campus regulations and may attract the necessary penalties.

The Student Union Government remains committed to protecting the welfare and interests of all students and will continue to work collaboratively with the university management to ensure that services within the campus remain fair, accessible, and affordable.
