We Now Have 141 Accredited Universities In The Country - NUC

The Executive Secretary of National University Commission (NUC), Professor Julius Okojie, has disclosed that there are currently 141 accredited universities (40 Federal, 40 State and 61 private universities,) in the country.

He made this know while briefing the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, and Minister of State for Education, Professor Anthony Anwukah on the activities of the Commission

According to the NUC boss, the Commission has grown from strength to strength in improving access to quality university education.

He also emphasized that the Commission has over the years maintained high standard in accreditation of Universities and courses they offer.
