Why Is Nigeria Education Board So Silent: WAEC Not Helping?

I must say this, Nigeria is gradually turning into a place where just about any untenable policy is presented to the majority and such is taken without any resistance. One of such policies is the recent hike of the exam fees of the West African Senior School Certificate Examinations for private candidates. Why on earth should a form "WACE" cost up to N10,000? Is WAEC out to promote mass literacy or out to jump the bandwagon of those trying to completely stifle poor people’s academic dreams? This is a most insensitive move for a body that is almost singularly driven by Nigeria. Where is the Minister of Education? Where are the commentators? Why this conspiracy of silence? Need quality education be this expensive?
