YABATECH announces SIWES Orientation Programme for ND and CODeL Students

The Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), through its Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and Placement Unit, has announced the schedule for the upcoming SIWES Orientation Programme for National Diploma (ND) full-time and Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODeL) students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The notification was contained in an internal memo dated 7th January, 2026, and signed by the Director of SIWES, Dr. Kanife, U. C.

According to the memo, the orientation programme is designed to prepare students for effective participation in the SIWES programme and to provide them with the opportunity to interact with officials of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) on issues relating to SIWES.

The SIWES Directorate has urged the Dean of Student Affairs to sensitize all ND full-time and CODeL students to actively participate in the programme, stressing that attendance is crucial for a successful SIWES experience.

The management of the institution expressed confidence in the cooperation and support of all stakeholders to ensure the smooth conduct of the orientation exercise.
