YABATECH Students Protest Dead of Colleague

Students of the Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) today protested the death of one of their colleague, a 27 year old final year student of Office Management Technology who fell ill some days ago.

According to them , the death of their colleague is as a result of the ill equipped medical centre in the institution and the nonchalant attitude and unprofessionalism of the medical personnel there.

One of the students who spoke said “No drug is given by the school medical (you have to go and buy).

“You need to see the stress that was passed through. We were the ones that went to get injections, drugs, in fact drip that were given to Dazan Charity”.

The students are asking relevant authorities to probe the school's medical centre and ensure it is fully equipped to avoid occurrences like this in the future better still shut down the medical centre completely.
