YSU announces matriculation date for Newly Admitted Students, 2025/2026 session

The management of Yobe State University has officially announced the date for the matriculation ceremony of newly admitted students for the 2026 academic session.

According to a statement released by the Students Affairs Division under the Office of the Vice Chancellor, the matriculation ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. The announcement is specifically directed to 100 level and 200 level Direct Entry students.

Newly admitted students have been advised to comply with the following instructions ahead of the matriculation ceremony:

1. Students are to proceed to the bursary department for the collection of matriculation gowns at the cost of N500.
2. Distribution of gowns will commence from 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 26 and end on Monday, March 30, 2026.
3. All students must return the gowns on or before Tuesday, April 7, 2026, immediately after the ceremony.
4. Failure to return the gown within the stipulated period will attract a penalty fee of N1,000.

The notice was signed by Gambo A. Ali, Students Affairs Officer, on behalf of the university management.

Students are therefore urged to adhere strictly to the outlined guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful matriculation exercise.
