Zamfara State University announces Christmas and New Year Public Holidays
The Management Committee of Zamfara State University (ZSU), Talata Mafara, has announced the observance of public holidays in line with the Federal Government’s declaration for the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations.
According to a statement issued by the Office of the Vice Chancellor, Public Relations Unit, the university will observe the following public holidays:
Thursday, 25 December 2025 – Christmas Day
Friday, 26 December 2025 – Boxing Day
Thursday, 1 January 2026 – New Year Day
The management stated that normal academic and administrative activities will resume on the next working day after the holidays.
During the holiday period, all university offices will remain closed, except for staff on emergency duties, essential services, or shift assignments, who are required to report for work as scheduled.
On behalf of the university management, the institution extended warm greetings to staff, students, and the entire university community, wishing them a joyous Christmas celebration filled with peace, happiness, and goodwill, as well as a prosperous and successful New Year.
The notice was signed by Sani Yusuf, Public Relations Officer, for the Registrar, and copied to the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellors (Academic and Administration), Registrar, University Librarian, Bursar, Director of Planning, Research and Development (PP&D), all Deans and Directors, and the Chief Security Officer.
